T&E Pumps prides ourselves on providing a good quality product at the fairest possible price. We build a pump that considers the user, the industry and the environment. Born of the days of drip pans and spills, it has a sealing system that when properly maintained, will not leak. It can also be recycled.

T&E Pumps Ltd, T&E Pumps US Co., and T&E Pumps Holdings Ltd—these names represent our businesses, but what lies behind them? T&E is named after our founders, Ted and Elaine Devine. While the name may not be the most original, it was fitting for a project that began as a small retirement venture. Little did we know it would grow beyond our wildest expectations.

Ted's journey began in South Saskatchewan, where he grew up on a modest farm. After being discouraged by a teacher, he left school and found work on oil rigs, eventually landing in Consort, Alberta, where he met Elaine in 1973. They married in 1974, and Ted's career took off. He started operating heavy machinery, supplemented his income with a septic truck, and later offered water services to rigs. As the oilfield boomed in the mid-80s, he expanded into infield hauling.

These experiences laid the foundation for T&E Pumps. After years in trucking, Ted decided to focus on operating their oil wells, but retirement wasn't his style. He began tinkering with pump designs, initially testing prototypes on friends' trucks and collaborating with machinists to create parts. This marked the beginning of our steady growth in product development and marketing.

If Ted had only created a few pumps and secured a patent, he would have been satisfied. However, recognizing the potential to improve operations for truckers, he was driven to keep going. His aim was to save money for his peers while listening to their needs. Profit was secondary to him; he genuinely wanted to help.

Today, that philosophy of customer care remains at the heart of our business. While profitability is essential for investment in research, development, and customer service, our primary focus is to deliver quality products at fair prices. We proudly manufacture in Consort, Alberta, and remain dedicated to supporting the little guy in the oil industry. Our hope is to continue the legacy started by Ted and Elaine, paving the way for future generations to make a meaningful impact in our field.
